Fusion Handrail Configuration Diagrams #2
This
shows the typical top detail on many staircases
The fittings you will need are a MMNC* Newel base connector
MMTC* Top Connector and a MMLC* Landing Connector.
You may need a New Newel Base or use your existing newel post Here a NB635 or NB700 would be used.
This is an equally popular detail usualy found at the top of a straight staircase where the landing handrail returns inline with the staircase, the image above shows a gap between the MMLC* Landing Connector and the MMHTR* Horizontal Turn (The Image above would be the Right Turn (MMHTR*) You can position these 2 fittings next to each other but the distance is around 120mm from the centre of the newel post to the centre of the handrail.
This shows the staircase with a dropped landing detail at the top of the staircase.
This image shows the detail if you have a Winder at the top of your staircase, the important thing to notice is that as the handrail comes up the staircase when there is a winder you need to use a intermediate connector and connect the handrail into the Newel Base, Note make sure you dont cut off your newel base too low.!
Many people have the situation where the handrail meets the ceiling this image isnt drawn for the Fusion system but it is good to give you an idea of what you may need to do, The Fusion Balusters can be cut down and in order for you to achive this you would need a combination of Rake and Landing Spindles so you can use the Flat Landing Brackets at the top edge.
